We owe everything to Mantova, city of art, famous for its great culinary heritage.
Here in 1959 Alcide Bottoli, together with his sons Angelo and Luigi, decides to buy
a small bakery.

This way Alcide, Angelo and Luigi, started looking for a “right shape” of bread, suitable for every moments of the day, and they found it in something crunchy, appetizing and practical: the Schiacciatina. At the beginning they realized an handmade Schiacciatina, for the citizens and for the shops of the city, following an ancient XVI century recipe, and thanks to its undisputed goodness, this product conquered the whole province of Mantua.

The high quality level of this product needed though to fascinate even more palates, and that is why at the end of the ‘80s, the Bottoli family decided to produce the artisan recipe on a large scale, thus creating the Company’s first factory.

During these years the products range begins to expand: the Schiacciatina Bottoli (to date, more than 1 million pieces are produced every day!) remains the most loved product, to which the Sbrisolona Cake, the Mantuan dessert par excellence, and the Bruschette, crunchy slices of bread, are added.

Today, with the third generation, the Company has become a true example of culinary excellence “Made in Italy”, supplying important Clients on national and international level, in the large-scale retail trade, in the Ho.Re.Ca. and in the Vending Machines markets. All of this, thanks also to the many quality certifications obtained through the years, and to the high-level quality controls, that every day, allow to bake excellent taste products, made with controlled ingredients.

From now on, bread has a new name
